Squarespace Inc. has recruited an Amazon. com Inc. executive as its new finance chief as the software company looks to grow its e-commerce business.
The New York-based company, which provides tools that businesses and consumers use to build websites, on Wednesday said it had named Nathan Gooden as chief financial officer and treasurer, effective Oct. 18. Mr. Gooden most recently led the finances of the unit behind Alexa, Amazon’s virtual assistant, and Echo, which sells the online retailer’s smart-speaker products. Mr. Gooden has held the role since 2017.
